What Stories?

I will be sharing with you scripture stories.

So, what is Scripture?
"The word scripture means “a writing” and is used to denote a writing recognized by the Church as sacred and inspired. It is so applied to the books of the Old Testament by the writers of the New Testament (Matt. 22:29; John 5:39; 2 Tim. 3:15). For an account of the process by which the books of the Old Testament and New Testament came to be recognized as scripture, see Canon. Latter-day revelation identifies scripture as that which is spoken under the influence of the Holy Ghost (D&C 68:1–4)." Definition found here

The Scriptures contain God's word.
Or, in short, scriptures are God's words, and the scriptures that I'll be focusing on are the books in the Bible (Old Testament, New Testament, King James Version) and the Book of Mormon.

Before you go "wait, the Book of Mormon's not scripture, it's not God's word, I haven't even read the thing and my pastor says-" Stop right there.  Put all those things aside, go get a copy, go to Mormon.org, read it online, read it for yourself.  It's not going to eat you or give you a beard or make you have multiple wives.  It's a book.  An awesome book that I'm going to help you understand, but it's still a book.

So, back to the important stuff, I'm going to be sharing with you stories from the Book of Mormon and from the Bible, and not just the popular ones.  Of course I'll still share with you those stories -- of Noah's Ark, Adam and Eve, Nephi and the Brass Plates, the Army of Helaman, Jesus Walking on Water, Jesus Coming to the Americas, Moroni: the Last of the Nephites -- but I'll include lesser known stories as well -- There was a talking donkey? Jesus flipped tables in the temple? The awesome Lamanite servant Abish!

I'm also taking requests!  I will be starting from the beginning of the Book of Mormon and working my way through, but I will skip around, depending on where I've been reading.  If you find yourself reading somewhere in the scriptures, and you have no clue what you just read, feel free to give me the scripture references, and I'll help you out!

I love all of you! Hope you have a great day!
The first story shall be up asap!
